In WAMP, it kills your site when you haven’t accessed it for some time and took like 15-20 seconds for it to run again. There are a lot of tools and PHP servers that you can choose from. When you start a site in LOCAL, it only took a few seconds for it to be accessible in the browser. To make it easier for you, here is a comparison of three commonly used development tools: It’s easy to get a bit confused on which one may be the tool for you. The dev team are literal geniuses, the PMs that have worked on the project have focused in on the important problems to solve, and for the last 8 mos or so I have had someone else doing the design work for the product. I have just installer Flywheel but it is stuck to 'Local image'. Local by Flywheel is a free platform that’s built exclusively for WordPress development. Local by Flywheel spins up a local site for you with all the dependencies that WordPress needs. Setting up a new website to, ultimately, use without WordPress in Local is very easy. Local by Flywheel is one of the best development environment for WordPress that makes creating, running, and managing local WordPress sites easy. Choose a site from the list and pull it into Local with one click. It's brought a ton of joy to peoples' workflows. Sign in to Flywheel from Local to see a list of all your sites. The re-design and subsequent next few years of work I did on the app helped it grow to nearly 100k MAUs, becoming the most-used app in the WordPress ecosystem (other than a code editor). Option 2: If using Flywheel, you can export your Multisite from Local, by right-clicking on the site and selecting Export. Flywheel: Migrate your site to Flywheel using Flywheel Migrations.
